About Us

Hi, we are Chris and Sara Boulton, we are a husband and wife team and we run the business and deliver the teaching. 

We are both highly experienced in home tutoring, we’ve taught within a variety of schools and we have 60+ years of experience between us! We have two children of our own (a boy and a girl) who are now in higher education. 

Chris has a BSc Degree in Mathematics plus MSC and PGCE qualifications (he’s our maths specialist). More recently he has worked in software development in schools and business.

Sara is a primary school teacher. She holds a BEd (Hons) Degree in Teaching and she’s also experienced in autism and special needs tutoring.

As you would expect, we are both fully DBS checked. 

School partnerships

We maintain positive, ‘co-learning’ relationships with local schools. This is boosted by the fact that currently Sara works part-time in a local school. This ensures all learning is aligned to and complements the curriculum.

Referrals often come to us from teachers and parents.

A trusted and homely learning environment

Tutoring takes place in our welcoming family home. Trust is very important to us and before getting started, you’ll be invited to see where your child will be taught.

Our purpose-built tutoring room includes bags of teaching resources and we’ve taken care to provide a safe, homely and clear learning environment. There’s plenty of convenient parking for drop off and pick up and this also makes it easy for you to pop in at the start or end the session to ask us any questions.
